DOOR COUNTY ON FILM

Butch grew up in Door County and we always love our trips back to visit, whether it is to photograph some of our awesome clients or to enjoy a bottle of amazing wine & cookout on the Green Egg with Butch's parents! No matter the occasion that brings us back, it is usually a mix of work and play which we LOVE! Just last month we had a weekend off - slightly crazy for October, but we were determined to make the most of it and enjoy every second! :) After chatting with Anna, we decided it was the perfect opportunity to plan a weekend in Door County. Originally the two of us & our cute lumberjack husbands planned to do a bit of fall camping, but the weather forecast kindly suggested we would have a more comfortable weekend if we were to stay at Butch's parents' house ;) And so we did! The result was a weekend of non-stop playtime with coffee dates, grilling salmon & steaks, hiking along the beach of Newport State Park on a perfect fall day, being spoiled with massive breakfasts, and enjoying one final bonfire of the season complete with s'mores. We had the best time and really couldn't be more grateful for a sweet clients who turn into two of your favorite friends!

WE LOVE FALL | CENTRAL WISCONSIN

For the first time in a few years, we can truly say that we maximized every ounce of Wisconsin's beautiful autumn!! It's not quite over yet, but the leaves were being swept from the streets in our neighborhood today which really only means one thing...they're making room for -- dare we say -- snow! Truly though, when we think about the last month we can't help but smile.  A trip to Bayfield, so much fall color, new chili recipe's, watching Parker bounce around in leaf piles five times his size, butternut squash risotto (yum!), a few extra afternoon coffee's, dream book writing on an inspired Sunday, fall pontooning & picnicking in Door County, taking entirely too many pictures of Parker, a weekend away with friends for some much needed relaxation & laughter, sessions in dreamy colorful spots (hello Chicago skyline + Grandma's property!), yummy birthday cupcakes, and SO much more!! MATT & KATIE IN WISCONSIN | ON FILM

When Matt & Katie landed in Wisconsin, we couldn't believe it. Even more crazy, we got to play host to them for a week!! After their workshop in Wausau we had a bit of downtime and wanted to show M&K some of Wisconsin's beauty, so we headed to the Dells of Eau Claire park and explored the area together! The four of us (five really, because Parker came too!) had the most relaxing time hanging out on the rocks on a gorgeous afternoon. Being that we were a couple photographers in a beautiful park, of course cameras were involved! We ended up photographing each other, and ever since we got this film back (we're talking two months ago!) we have been just dying to share!! Matt and Katie are super adorable together and their love for one another is such an inspiration! It's not often that we get to have so much quality time with another husband/wife team who spends nearly every moment together and still maintains as much love for one another as they did on their wedding day! We felt like we could truly relate to M&K on so many levels, and it was just an absolute joy to spend time with them :) Without a doubt in our minds, we know these images will make you smile! Even if you have never heard of or had the chance to meet Matt & Katie, all you need to know is that their hearts are enormous and they are two of the most genuine people we have ever photographed/hosted/hung out with :)

WISCONSIN FILM ANNIVERSARY PORTRAITS AT GRANDMA'S! | AMANDA & ANTHONY

Where do we even begin?? We cannot say enough about these two!! Amanda & Anthony were married last September in Wausau (at the same place as us, woot!). We had the honor of not only photographing their beautiful day at the Great Hall, but also making great friends in the process. :) Recently we were invited to Amanda's Grandma's beautiful home to spend some time walking the property and taking pictures of A&A! After celebrating their anniversary with a trip to Greece & Paris they celebrated again with the two of us, our cameras, and some delicious cake. And you guessed it, champagne may have been involved! We honestly couldn't think of a better way to spend a perfect fall Sunday than laughing and chatting with these two! Amanda & Anthony are full of adventure, and we enjoyed every minute of exploring the land & creating these fun images with them! Love | K&B
