Horseshoe Bay Beach Club Wedding | Mary Clare & Bret

After getting ready at her parents beautiful home on Bayshore Drive, Mary Clare and Bret were married at St Joseph’s Church in Surgeon Bay. Their grand exit down down the steps following their ceremony were filled with an abundance of joy & sunshine, and you could FEEL all of the love surrounding this couple – a theme that carried throughout the entirety if their heartfelt wedding day.

Cocktail hour along the water at the Horseshoe Bay Beach Club awaited their guests, followed by a tented reception with timelessly romantic florals by Flora Flowershop, an effortless day choreographed by Door County Event Planners, and live music by the North Coast Orchestra. One of our favorite moments was Mary Clare and Bret’s entrance into their reception, where you could see just how much delighted they were, and how much this day meant to them!

We are so very happy for this wonderful couple, and grateful to have been the ones to capture such special moments for the two of them and their warm, welcoming families!

Erin, John and Grady invited us to meet them at About Thyme Farm in Baileys Harbor for their portrait session on a PERFECT fall day in Door County. Photographing the two of them (and their pup, Grady!) always feels like catching up with friends, and we so enjoyed spending the afternoon with them!

DOOR COUNTY MATERNITY PORTRAITS | ANNA & PAUL

Seeing our dearest friends grow their family from two to three is something that makes us smile so big!! Anna & Paul are expecting their little Mister to arrive in September, and anyone who knows them would be quick to agree that they are going to be amazing parents!

Earlier this month while the four of us were celebrating the 4th of July in beautiful Door County, we headed out with our cameras and spent the evening photographing Anna & Paul along the water. Lake Michigan has a way of looking like we were photographing in the Caribbean, and it served as the most beautiful of backdrops for some of our favorite people in the world. :) A simple organic floral crown made by Helen at Flora Flowershop added just the right amount of 'pop' to Anna, a radiant & joyful Mommy-to-be with the most perfect baby bump! As always, Paul's ability to make Anna smile & laugh didn't fail us for a second!

DOOR COUNTY PORTRAITS | ANNA & PAUL

The JOY these two bring everywhere they go is enough to make us smile as we sit here and type about them! :) While enjoying a wintery Door County weekend with Anna & Paul just last month, we were blessed with an absolutely gorgeous evening. Naturally, we couldn't help but think about how stunning the light was as it fell over the field behind Butch's parents house, so we were thrilled that these two were up for a little impromptu photo session!! 

Anna & Paul have been married for two & a half years and we've had the absolute pleasure of photographing them many times from their engagement & wedding to a family session, and even as models during a gorgeous brunch editorial shoot (styled by Anna herself at A.Styled Event!!). Having their happy faces in front of our cameras simply fills us with happiness!!! Not only are we thankful to have them as dear friends, we're also grateful that they put up with us and our little spontaneous photo sessions. We actually told them they were having their photos taken while they were already driving up to Door County. HA!! Who needs to plan?! :)

DOOR COUNTY WEEKEND!!

We absolutely love Door County weekends! Whether it's time visiting Butch's family or spending a weekend away with friends, the memories we create in the County are some of our favorites. There's a sense of freedom that comes with exploring this charming & breathtaking part of our beautiful home state!! Even though it's just two hours from our humble abode, we always feel like we're on vacation while visiting Door County. Maybe it's because we have next to zero cell service while we're there, or because it's where Butch grew up and "there's no place like home", or just maybe it's because the GIANT smile we see creep across Parker's face as he runs countless laps and lives the life of a "wilder-pup" is the best thing ever? :) Whatever the reason, we always feel the need to capture our time spent exploring! If you've never been to Door County, GO. And shoot us a message before you do!! We'll tell you all of our favorite places, maybe we'll even clue you in on the super private, tucked-away trail we hiked on with our dear friends Anna & Paul on this fall's Door County weekend ;)
