If there were ever such a thing as a perfect wedding, Lauren & Cameron's glamorous celebration at the Turner Hall Ballroom would be right up there!! When we think back to Lauren & Cameron's wedding day in August, we can't help but smile! The two of them, their family and bridal party all have an energy that was undeniably contagious. It made their wedding an absolute joy to be a part of, and boy did we feel lucky that they chose us as their photographers!! And best of all? Aside from all of the vibrant color, pretty florals and genuine laughter were two amazing people with the biggest hearts imaginable. Lauren & Cameron have always been naturals in front of our cameras. Their optimistic & carefree spirits seem to jump out of every photograph, and that is just one of the reasons that we couldn't be more excited to share their wedding with you!! Get ready for so many loving and adorable glances and one of the most beautiful couples ever, inside & out :)

Ellen and Adam fit perfectly together. They are both extremely thoughtful & intelligent, absolutely loving, and after being around them for a matter of minutes you can immediately tell that they truly appreciate one another for exactly who they are! Their wedding day had a lovely mix of rain and the most gorgeous sunset we have ever seen -- which led to all of us doing backflips over the beautiful setting where we were able to photograph the two of them and their awesome wedding party! We are over-the-moon excited to share the images we created with Ellen & Adam and couldn't be more grateful to have been a part of their wedding celebration!!

BACKYARD DOOR COUNTY WEDDING | KRIS & NICK

From the moment Kris mentioned "nautical" and "backyard" in the same sentence, we were especially excited for her & Nick's wedding day!! They are one of the sweetest couples ever and we absolutely adore Nick's family, so we had no doubt their wedding was going to be a stunning celebration! We also had the honor of photographing Nick's two sisters' weddings within the last few years, and it is safe to say that this family knows how to plan one heck of a wedding! ;) Kris & Nick were married on Nick's parents' beautiful land in Sturgeon Bay, which also doubles as the grounds for their landscaping business! With the help of their families, Kris & Nick put so much of themselves into their wedding day and we loved hearing all about it in our weekly email conversations leading up to their big day!! From brewing their own beer for their guests to enjoy, designing their invitations and decorating a perfectly white tent, we aren't quite sure how they managed to do it all! They even gifted all of their guests a brand new tree to take home and plant!

The feeling and energy of Kris & Nick's wedding day fit them perfectly -- a relaxed yet personalized celebration with their closest friends & family. And when you combine two people that have the most caring personality like Kris & Nick, everything else is icing on the cake! They are such a beautiful, genuine couple and their day was absolutely perfect!!

DOOR COUNTY ON FILM

Butch grew up in Door County and we always love our trips back to visit, whether it is to photograph some of our awesome clients or to enjoy a bottle of amazing wine & cookout on the Green Egg with Butch's parents! No matter the occasion that brings us back, it is usually a mix of work and play which we LOVE! Just last month we had a weekend off - slightly crazy for October, but we were determined to make the most of it and enjoy every second! :) After chatting with Anna, we decided it was the perfect opportunity to plan a weekend in Door County. Originally the two of us & our cute lumberjack husbands planned to do a bit of fall camping, but the weather forecast kindly suggested we would have a more comfortable weekend if we were to stay at Butch's parents' house ;) And so we did! The result was a weekend of non-stop playtime with coffee dates, grilling salmon & steaks, hiking along the beach of Newport State Park on a perfect fall day, being spoiled with massive breakfasts, and enjoying one final bonfire of the season complete with s'mores. We had the best time and really couldn't be more grateful for a sweet clients who turn into two of your favorite friends!

WE LOVE FALL | CENTRAL WISCONSIN

For the first time in a few years, we can truly say that we maximized every ounce of Wisconsin's beautiful autumn!! It's not quite over yet, but the leaves were being swept from the streets in our neighborhood today which really only means one thing...they're making room for -- dare we say -- snow! Truly though, when we think about the last month we can't help but smile. A trip to Bayfield, so much fall color, new chili recipe's, watching Parker bounce around in leaf piles five times his size, butternut squash risotto (yum!), a few extra afternoon coffee's, dream book writing on an inspired Sunday, fall pontooning & picnicking in Door County, taking entirely too many pictures of Parker, a weekend away with friends for some much needed relaxation & laughter, sessions in dreamy colorful spots (hello Chicago skyline + Grandma's property!), yummy birthday cupcakes, and SO much more!!
