LAKESIDE MICHIGAN WEDDING | ANIKA & LYNN

Anika & Lynn's wedding was a perfect example of how, together, friends & family can make anything happen. From the ceramic bears & faux deer heads handmade by Anika's Mom to the men's shotgun shell boutonnieres and a wooden tiki bar, nearly every element of their day was a DIY collaboration!

The morning of their wedding both Anika & Lynn got ready in neighboring homes, all on Duck Lake in Watersmeet, Michigan. With Nola Kahn beautifying Anika, her hair & makeup couldn't have been more stunning, and the bridesmaids sparkled in blush sequins as they helped Anika into her gorgeous dress in a room filled with windows! Just a short walk down a lit trail, their ceremony was set on a peninsula behind Anika's childhood lake house. After a lovely ceremony and sunny receiving line in front of the boat house, guests were welcomed to a fun cocktail hour while we captured Anika & Lynn's portraits just before the evening sun dipped below the tree-line! Add to that some of the best toasts we've ever heard, a jam-packed dance floor, and a grand sparkler exit at the end of the night where Anika & Lynn were whisked off in the back of a 1952 Chevy and you have an amazing, heartfelt wedding celebration!!

Anika & Lynn, we cannot thank you enough for choosing us to be a part of your wedding celebration! We wish the two of you endless years of happiness, joy, adventure, and trips back to Duck Lake to cheers in the very spot where you said your vows :)

ROMANTIC DOOR COUNTY BEACH WEDDING | BECKY & JACK

After debating between a destination or Door County wedding, Becky & Jack dove head first into planning from their home in Virginia. It is safe to say that we were ecstatic when they reached out to us for their wedding photography!! We knew of a few pieces Becky planned to make for their wedding day, but were genuinely blown away when their big day arrived. She not only created personalized hangers for each of her bridesmaids, but went on to decorate a beautiful ceremony  site on the beach at her Aunt's house on Lake Michigan, as well as every inch of their reception at the Landmark Resort! Becky & Jack's wedding day was filled with emotional moments that left us feeling distinctly honored to photograph them. From the thoughtful "something's" Becky's bridesmaids gifted her just after she slipped into her dress to the sand mixing ceremony with Jack's (and now Becky's!) children that united them as a family of five and the surprise release of butterflies, Becky & Jack's wedding day was truly a family affair! :)

EAGLE RIVER WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER | SARA & BROOK

Sara & Brook's wedding:  Classic, romantic, & sophisticated. Beautiful and inspiring. Sincere, silly, & definitely real. Their wedding was a perfect reflection of the two of them, and the day they were blessed with in northern Wisconsin at the Eagle Waters Resort was absolutely fitting for two of the most genuine people you will meet! They planned a relaxed, care free wedding day that allowed them to slow down and truly soak in each moment. With their closest friends & family, S&B prepared themselves for the day in suites overlooking the waters of Eagle River, WI with towering pines, a perfect early summer breeze, and gorgeous light pouring in!

Sara & Brook's first look was easily one of the most touching we have ever photographed! The reaction Brook had when turning around to see his stunning bride revealed to him for the first time was perfect! He and Sara were locked in a moment and completely immersed in themselves, as if the two of us had vanished and it was just them, their eyes & smiles :)

After a touching ceremony we headed back to the resort where we were blessed with what felt like unlimited portrait time with Sara & Brook and their welcoming family. Smiles and laughter came so easily throughout the day and the comfort S&B found in each others arms spoke volumes to their relationship and love for one another!! We are absolutely honored to have been a part of their charming wedding day and have no doubt that the two of them have a future together filled with the perfect combination of adventure, romance, and friendship!
