GRAND THEATER WAUSAU WEDDING | MARIE & JOE!

Perfect October sunshine, charming downtown Wausau, a classic car, stunning fall blooms and, most importantly, a couple so sincere and in love that everyone felt it.

We arrived to Marie's parents house where she was surrounded by all of her best girlfriends; the light was pouring into the living room where she was helped into a gown that was custom made just for her with the same gorgeous heirloom satin that was used both in her Grandmother's and Mother's wedding dresses years prior. After arriving to Church of the Resurrection by way of her neighbor's classic car, Marie greeted her handsome groom for the first time. Joe was beside the church, full of emotion and excitement for the day ahead. The moment Marie & Joe found their way into each other's arms, they couldn't help but smile from ear to ear!! :)

After a beautiful ceremony in one of the most beautiful churches we have ever seen, Marie & Joe and their lovely wedding party took a stroll through town over to the Historic Yawkey House where we had so much fun photographing them! The light was absolutely glowing and they were, without a doubt, the happiest group of people in Wausau. At the end of portrait time their handsome German Shepherd, Thor, joined us and brought SO much energy and happiness!! Not to mention he was such a good boy as he loved on Marie & Joe! (we obviously have a HUGE soft spot for dogs, especially on a wedding day!)

Marie & Joe walked hand-in-hand across town as Mr and Mrs to their Grand Theater wedding reception where they were greeted by non-stop hugs, laughter, and all of their guests enjoying cocktail hour upstairs in the loft. After thoughtful toasts that brought tears to nearly every single guest in the beautifully decorated Great Hall, we were able to steal them for a few evening portraits under the glowing marquee that wished Marie & Joe a giant "congratulations"! :)

Thinking about this day makes us so happy! Marie & Joe, thank you for inviting us into your lives and into your beautiful wedding celebration. We couldn't imagine spending a wedding day with a more warm and thoughtful couple, and we're so excited to see all of the joy that you bring to the lives of others by simply being yourselves together!!

ROTHSCHILD PAVILION WEDDING | MELISSA & BRANDON

Fun, romantic, rustic, and filled with DIY elements! Melissa & Brandon planned a wedding that not only fit their style, but also shared so much of who they are with every guest who brought joy to their wedding day. A sweets table, the most creatively flavored cupcakes we've ever heard of (cardamom vanilla with honey buttercream – yum!!), and adorably named signature drinks were there to make sure that their guests were well taken care of and enjoying their celebration. Melissa & Brandon's passion for music also played a huge roll in personalizing their wedding from beginning to end with friends performing their ceremony music, a live swing band drawing their guests onto the dance floor, a rendition of the classic German Oktoberfest song "Ein Prosit", and a surprise performance by Brandon & his gentlemen for his beautiful bride!! You might remember the beer they worked into their engagement session last fall, so it was only fitting that they incorporate this element into their wedding day as well :)

After a cozy ceremony inside the Rothschild Pavilion, we were blessed with a gorgeous afternoon and enjoyed photographing Melissa & Brandon surrounded by the ones they love. As a couple they are thoughtful & genuine, and being around them made us feel both completely at ease and ready for FUN! We consider ourselves very lucky to have been chosen to document their wedding day! Melissa & Brandon just returned home from a two-week honeymoon in Italy (jealous!) and we are bursting with excitement for them to relive all of the wedding day moments that we captured on film!

HOLDING ON TIGHT

If we were being completely honest we would tell you that this day, Julia & Alex's day, is one that we will never ever forget. After a beautiful outdoor ceremony in Julia's family's backyard, she & Alex enjoyed greeting and embracing each of their guests in one of the most heartfelt receiving lines we have ever seen! Everyone was smiling from ear-to-ear as hugs, laughter and giant squeezes were being shared in every direction. We couldn't help but smile behind our cameras as we captured so many beautiful moments! :) Afterwards, we had what seemed like an eternity to photograph Julia & Alex in the most perfect evening light and beautiful fields that filled her family's property. That's when this moment happened, as they stood in the exact place where they had just said their vows and held on tight. And since Julia & Alex's wedding in 2012, this image has remained one of our favorites... for so many reasons! :)
