Cave Point County Park is one of the most iconic destinations in all of Wisconsin! As we've mentioned, Butch grew up in Door County and his parents still live just minutes from this picturesque landscape, so we're lucky that our visits to Cave Point are quite frequent! Typically, we visit on lovely spring-summer-fall days, but this particular time things were a bit different. With 20 mph winds, a –9 degree wind chill, and smiles frozen onto our faces, we braved the elements to photograph this surreal scene on film!! Luckily,we had just enjoyed a coffee date at one of our favorite Door County coffee shops, so our fingers were nice and toasty and able to capture the icy, Titanic-like view our eyes were soaking in! ;) If you get the chance to visit Door County in the wintertime and see Cave Point covered in ice, we absolutely recommend it as it truly does feel like you're on another planet!
Love,
Kelsy & Butch
