To celebrate Lennon turning one, we planned a session with one of our favorite little families (and closest friends!), and boy were we in for a treat!! Lennon had us smiling the entire time – it is seriously impossible to NOT light up when you’re around him! We hope this session brings the biggest smile to your face – we clearly spent the afternoon smiling over here as we prepared their images! ;)

 Andy & Eric invited us to Chicago for their engagement session two weeks ago, and it was so cute watching them fall into each other’s arms then burst out into smiles & laughter the entire time!! We met in Lincoln Park where the trees were freshly blooming and it was green & vibrant in every direction – we truly couldn’t have created a better place for their session if we tried! :)

If you know us, you know that there are several things that we especially love: time with family, good wine, and everything California! Last month we were able to enjoy six days packed full of exactly that :) Before our wedding season kicked off, we snuck away to wine country and soaked up some CA sunshine with Butch’s parents, sister Stevi, and her boyfriend Charles. After a few days of winery hopping and lots picnicking, we mixed it up a bit by photographing Stevi & Charles all around West Dry Creek Road and the property where we stayed. Really, does it get any better than a couples session in wine country?!

Without a hint of doubt, one of the highlights of our trip was our visit to Storybook Mountain Vineyards. We were given a private tour by one of the five people who runs Storybook, and found ourselves blown away by the intimate feel of this winery! After walking the land, we headed into one of the oldest wine caves for our tasting. WHAT an experience! We couldn’t help but ship a few bottles back to WI and can’t wait to share them together!!

It’s hard for us to look at these pictures and resist the urge to hop on a plane and scoot back to Sonoma rrrrright now, but we are super thankful to have these images to remember our trip by. We cannot WAIT to get back for our next visit, and until then we’ll enjoy decorating our home with prints & canvases! ;)

This session is extra meaningful to the two of us for SO many reasons!! We just escaped to wine country with family and while we were there, we had the chance to photograph Stevi & her boyfriend Charles. You may have already seen the resemblance and if you had a feeling that Stevi might be related to Butch, you guessed right – she’s his sister! :) It’s no secret that we LOVE everything California and everything wine. Put them together along with our favorite couple, great company, dreamy romantic light, and a house in the middle of a vineyard, and we’re head over heels! One evening, we took a break from vacationing to weave through vineyards and explore beautiful hillsides at sunset with Stevi & Charles. How adorable are they together!!

Stevi & Charles, we’re so happy that we were able to create these images with you and we can’t wait to visit you again soon! :)

 It seems like Joachim Bradley’s newborn session was just yesterday, but we were especially excited to visit again for his four month session a few weeks ago! Dominee and Hector invited us into their beautiful home to create more images with the three of them. From the dreamy light that floats into their sunroom to the adorable eyes Joachim was giving us, we are absolutely smitten whenever we get this sweet family in front of our cameras!

We had the absolute honor of photographing Maggie’s Mom, Kim, during her reign as Miss Wisconsin, followed by her & Stew’s engagement session and wedding in Door County :) Just two weeks ago, we were ecstatic and overwhelmed with excitement as we captured them in their new roles as Mom and Dad!! Leading up to Maggie’s newborn session we were looking forward to meeting her and visiting Kim & Stew’s new home in Green Bay, but what we didn’t anticipate was how amazing and emotionally powerful it would be to photograph the three of them together! Kim & Stew are super easy going and love to laugh. Seeing them in their new rolls as Mom & Dad gives us a feeling that we just don’t have words for. Remembering the memories we captured throughout their engagement & wedding and then photographing their beautiful family has simply leaves us beaming.

With the help of friends & family members near & far, they designed, created, styled & assembled their dream wedding day (and we have no doubt that they had an absolute blast doing so!). Whether that involved traveling to a little farm to purchase vintage doors (and being invited in to chat & hear about the sweet woman’s life experiences) or antiquing to find crates for their sweets table, they definitely dove in head first to wedding planning and created a million memories along the way. Where do we begin with the instant smile and overwhelming happiness that comes every.single.time we think back to Julia & Alex’s Wausau wedding!!! Not just the two of them, but their families as well, are some of the most genuinely happy, positive, and caring people we have ever met! J&A were blessed with the most beautiful day for a wedding in Julia’s family’s backyard in central Wisconsin. Surrounded by absolutely gorgeous landscaping and a perfect field of Queen Anne’s lace, their personalities were written all over every inch of their wedding day! From the vibrant flowers amazingly created by Randy of Evolutions in Design to the colorful bridesmaid dresses, these happy hues matched Julia & Alex’s bubbly personalities so well!!

We visited Emily & Michael’s beautiful home just over a week ago and little miss Olivia was 11 days new. :) Not only is she an adorable doll with one of the cutest nurseries imaginable, she has parents who are completely smitten with her! Our hope is that someday when Olivia is a bit older she will be able to look at these images and not only see but feel just how much her Mom & Dad love her! :)
