We had the absolute honor of photographing Maggie’s Mom, Kim, during her reign as Miss Wisconsin, followed by her & Stew’s engagement session and wedding in Door County :) Just two weeks ago, we were ecstatic and overwhelmed with excitement as we captured them in their new roles as Mom and Dad!! Leading up to Maggie’s newborn session we were looking forward to meeting her and visiting Kim & Stew’s new home in Green Bay, but what we didn’t anticipate was how amazing and emotionally powerful it would be to photograph the three of them together! Kim & Stew are super easy going and love to laugh. Seeing them in their new rolls as Mom & Dad gives us a feeling that we just don’t have words for. Remembering the memories we captured throughout their engagement & wedding and then photographing their beautiful family has simply leaves us beaming.

We simply cannot get enough of these in-home portraits!! There is just something so real and genuine about a session that takes place exactly where a family lives and grows together. Even if just for an hour or two, we felt as though we are capturing them. From Kilen’s seemingly bottomless energy to Elsie’s adorable grin that you can’t help but smile back at until your cheeks hurt, Britta & Lynden have the cutest little family! We always look forward to their sessions and leave filled to the brim! Not only excited about the images we created with them, but also so inspired and filled with the anticipation for the day when our lives look like theirs! :)

Erin Davenport - These images are beautiful and will be SO cherished by the family, the very first one just made me stop and stare. Film (and your use of it) is so enchanting!! The blur of the curtains has such a beautiful painterly quality – mmm I just love everything about this. You’re really making me consider film, and I have no idea where to begin!

Welcoming, HAPPY, optimistic, easy-going, and genuine. Katie & Kevin are one of the most authentic couples we have had the honor of photographing!! Throughout their entire planning process, they wanted to create an experience for their guests that 110% reflected them and their relationship. With the help of friends & family members near & far, they designed, created, styled & assembled their dream wedding day (and we have no doubt that they had an absolute blast doing so!). Whether that involved traveling to a little farm to purchase vintage doors (and being invited in to chat & hear about the sweet woman’s life experiences) or antiquing to find crates for their sweets table, they definitely dove in head first to wedding planning and created a million memories along the way. If you ask us, that’s them as a couple. Together they love adventures, beer tasting, and escaping away to Lake Superior for hikes and real moments. Katie & Kevin share a happiness that we wish upon everyone we know!! We thank them from the bottom of our hearts for inviting us into their celebration. :)

Where do we begin with the instant smile and overwhelming happiness that comes every.single.time we think back to Julia & Alex’s Wausau wedding!!! Not just the two of them, but their families as well, are some of the most genuinely happy, positive, and caring people we have ever met! J&A were blessed with the most beautiful day for a wedding in Julia’s family’s backyard in central Wisconsin. Surrounded by absolutely gorgeous landscaping and a perfect field of Queen Anne’s lace, their personalities were written all over every inch of their wedding day! From the vibrant flowers amazingly created by Randy of Evolutions in Design to the colorful bridesmaid dresses, these happy hues matched Julia & Alex’s bubbly personalities so well!!

We’ve been smiling ourselves silly all day long as we prepared this blog post to share with you!! We visited Emily & Michael’s beautiful home just over a week ago and little miss Olivia was 11 days new. :) Not only is she an adorable doll with one of the cutest nurseries imaginable, she has parents who are completely smitten with her! Our hope is that someday when Olivia is a bit older she will be able to look at these images and not only see but feel just how much her Mom & Dad love her! :)
